Investigate the types of quadrilaterals that can be formed when certain restrictions are placed on the diagonals.
- Click to show perpendicular bisectors
- Click to show perpendicular bisectors congruent
- Click to show congruent bisectors
- Click to show bisected diagonals
- Explore how the quadrilaterals change as you move the red dot.
For at least one of the cases above:
What can you conclude about the side lengths of the quadrilateral that is formed?
When you drag the red dots, does the relationship between the side lengths change?
What types of quadrilaterals can be formed if the diagonals are perpendicular bisectors?
the quadrilaterals stayed the same shape, just increasing or decreasing in size.
ReplyDeletefor the most part they were the same, the changed in sizze thoooooo

the quadrilaterals stay the same shape, but they change sizes depending on how you move the red dot- rohan joshi
ReplyDeletethey all stayed the samee but it had changed their sizes

they mostly all stayed the same. The swuare only formed into a rectangle and the rectangel formed into a square. I was able to turn the kite into a rhombus and parallelogram.

When I dragged the red dot out away from its opposite point, the quadrilateral increased in size and side length. When I moved the red dot towards the opposite point, the quadrilateral decreased in sixe and side lenth, but for the square no matter how far out or in I moved the red dot, al four sides remained congruent and all angles still were 90 degrees.

Mostly all the quadrilaterals stayed the same except you could change the rectangle into a square. Also they mostly stayed the same but changed in size.
ReplyDeletethe first two shapes stayed the same shape but changed in size, although the last one i could change from a rectangle to a square.

Whenever i moved the red dot at a far distance from the other points or its opposite point, the quad got bigger and the side increased...However, as i moved the red dot closer to its opposite point... the shape got smaller and the length of its side decreased...But, there was a shape...or a quad that no matter how much i changed it or moved it away or in towards the opposite point.... its sides and angles were still congruent..

it was a aquare... continued from above by Steffani C ^
ReplyDeletewhen point p is moved the other quadrilaterals areas decreased in size.
